Nintendo Switch: What We See Is Not Exactly What We Get

Yesterday, the gaming world was shaken over the latest unveiling of Nintendo's flagship system, the Nintendo Switch. The hybrid console seems to be a lot more promising that what was expected from the Japanese company. For a moment, we've made to believe that next year will be Nintendo's moment to shine.

Just by looking at the 3-minute teaser trailer, you can't help but admire on the bold steps that Nintendo has taken in order to step up its game over the upcoming platforms of its rivals, the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft Xbox Project Scorpio. But just when things started to go to Nintendo's favor, the new console is now met with a lot of criticisms regarding the issue that the games which were presented in the trailer were not actually confirmed by their respective publishers.

One of the most controversial issues that came to the Nintendo Switch platform is that Bethesda Softworks didn't confirm the existence of the epic RPG game, Skyrim on the Nintendo platform despite its appearance during the trailer. It's quite surprising for Nintendo to showcase such a prominent game without actually confirming its actual existence in the system.

And just this evening, news from Kotaku has given us the glimpse of how enigmatic the console still is; as it appears that Bethesda Softworks isn't the only publisher that's not clarifying their game's details in the platform.

In the news report from Kotaku, representatives from various publishers particularly Capcom, Take-Two, Activision and Warner Bros. have all said that they are not confirming any details about their games in the platform - yet. In short, what we saw in the trailer is not actually what we are getting. Just when the world thought that they've known more about the new Nintendo platform, it appears that we've stumbled upon another mystery once again.

During the Nintendo's official Switch reveal, the Japanese company said: "Today's video incorporated short glimpses of representative gameplay to demonstrate the liberating nature of the Nintendo Switch home gaming system. Full game demonstrations, the list of launch window titles, as well as launch date, price, product configuration and related specifics, will be shown and announced prior to the March launch."

But do not fret as it's not all gloomy and dark as a Nintendo fan. The bright side of the story is that although the publishers didn't confirm their games yet, rest assured that they'll be supplying one of their current or upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch in the future. As for the Skyrim and the others, we can only hope that it'll make its way to the new console. Until the publishers make their official confirmation, we can only guess what they have in stored for us.
