Final Fantasy XV will be released a month from now and its fans have already gotten enough overview and information what the game looks like including its characters and new features. Recently, FFXV director Hajime Tatsuya sat down for an interview during the Barcelona Games and revealed more details including the PS4 and Xbox versions of the game.
From the interview, it looks like Square Enix placed more effort in developing the game for the PlayStation 4 console. Tatsuya said that although the game has no difference on both gaming consoles, the Xbox One version of the game will have lower resolution compared to its PS4 counterpart. However, the FFXV director assured Xbox One fans that it is not a problem because it won't really be a big difference and they will still be satisfied with the game.
He also added that their main focus is on the console versions of the game and any plans for the PC version is still not part of their plan right now. The same goes for the PS4 Pro version of the game.
"Making a PC version of the game would mean we’d have to readjust a lot of stuff and concentrate solely on developing it, even though the development team has shown interest in getting a PC version out at some point," he said, "maybe we can get a PS4 Pro version of the game that can take advantage of the ‘capabilities. But as of right now the game has maxed out the PS4 horsepower."
Tatsuya also discussed some other aspects of the game which includes the clothes of the characters and the monsters. He said that they will not be using the clothes Noctis wore in Final Fantasy Versus XIII but added that if there is a great demand for that, they will consider adding it in the future.
As for the monsters, he explained that they were inspired by the monsters created by Yoshitaka Amano in the classic version of the game because they want the game to have that certain kind of feel. Meanwhile, the gameplay and overall feel of the game were inspired by Final Fantasy V.
