Mass Effect 3 – Omega DLC Details Revealed

Finally some much needed information from “Mass Effect 3” front regarding the upcoming Omega DLC. Per reports, Bioware has confirmed that the Omega DLC is indeed the biggest “Mass Effect 3” DLC the company has ever pushed out.

The Omega DLC for “Mass Effect 3” is the biggest DLC Bioware has made for the game and is, apparently, twice as big as the previous DLC. The Omega DLC will require players to free the space station and work along with Aria T’Lok who has to fight Cerberus soldiers who have captured the place.

This is the first major development for the highly-anticipated DLC after it was previously reported that the DLC's text files and plot summary had already been discovered in the original game itself. It was also revealed that Overlord Aria will arrive with a new ability called the Biotic Strap and the rocket.

Aria’s basic abilities will include Reave, Carnage, and Lash. Moreover, it was also stated that Nyreen Kandros is a new character in the game and is a Turian and her abilities include Incinerate, Overload, Lift Grenade, and Biotic protection.

Moving over to the new information, the game will feature a new Cerberus-modified reaper called the Adjutant.

The new Omega DLC is also set to bring in new weapons, characters and a lot of new enemies to the game, and is shaping up to be an amazing new DLC. However, the size of the DLC shouldn’t come as a shock to most fans as it was already touted as the biggest “Mass Effect 3” DLC ever released and that it will be two times bigger than the previous DLCs released for the game, bringing a host of content to the game.

Per the plot summary, Omega is currently under a blockade from Cerberus. Additionally, since the attack turned out to be failure, by blocking supply ships, Cerberus now wants to starve Omega in a bid to get him to submit.

"As punishment for breaking the neutrality pact, Cerberus launches an attack against Omega. The enemy is attempting to destroy Omega's shields, which will allow asteroids and meteors to smash into the station. You must repel the assault and ensure the shield remain operational," states the plot summary.

The DLC is priced at $14.99 and 1200 MSP on the PS3 and Xbox Live, respectively, and the PC version also costs the same.
