When it comes to 4K gaming, the Xbox One Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Pro are the strongest contenders. Mark Cerny, lead architect of Sony, divulged details that the PS4 Pro would be able to provide gamers with a near-4K gaming experience. Microsoft seems to best that statement by saying that their Xbox One Scorpio is the "first and only console to enable true 4K gaming."
'True 4K Gaming'
Last month, Sony unveiled its newest console, the PlayStation 4 Pro, with a whopping 4.2 Teraflops of computational power for a better gaming performance. This is thrice more powerful than its predecessor, the PlayStation 4. Mark Cerny, the company's lead system architect, revealed all there is to know about their newest console, which proved to be really powerful. But while the PlayStation 4 Pro cannot make all games possible with a full 4K resolution, Microsoft has already countered that their console, Xbox One Scorpio, is the only one capable of providing a 'true 4K gaming' experience.
The official Xbox One Scorpio page has just been updated. The page is on point and clear: Project Scorpio is - or will be - the "most powerful console ever." The promise of playing games at a native 4K experience and high-fidelity VR is very much obvious. Microsoft also added information on the Scorpio's power which runs at a higher 6 Teraflops of computational power that looks far more superior to PlayStation 4 Pro.
At A Power Disadvantage
Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft's Xbox One Scorpio is almost identical. Both consoles have the same number of GPU cores. Both use the same AMD processor. Both play the same third party titles. Both have nearly the same ancillary features. Even the price of the PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio is roughly the same. The only difference? Scorpio packs more power at 6 Teraflops which is almost 33 percent higher compared to the Pro's 4.2 Teraflops. Sony is obviously underpowered and gamers might look to the more powerful Xbox Scorpio if computation power is to be considered.
