Hitman: Absolution Patch Arriving – Fixes Disguises

“Hitman: Absolution” has easily been one of the most popular games and the biggest releases this year. While critics have rated the game pretty well, there have been a few issues that have marred the gameplay. Now, per reports, IO Interactive has confirmed that the company is working on a patch to tweak the disguise system.

While “Hitman: Absolution” has been received well by the critics, one of the problems that fans have had with the game is how the disguise system has been changed up from the series’ previous entries. Now with a patch in development, everything is about to change.

Although IO Interactive has established that the company is developing a patch to tweak the disguise system, it has also mentioned that it will not support third-party patches for the software.

“We don't support the use of third-party software, trainers or injectors to alter the game code or experience. As such, we're removing the links posted here. Please refrain from reposting. Disguises are being tweaked right now. Expect a patch soon,” the company stated when a user posted a link to a third part patch’s download for “Hitman: Absolution’s” disguise issues over at the Eidos Forums.

Accordingly, IO Interactive removed the post, saying that they do not support third-party patches, but assured everyone that a patch will be coming in soon.

Additionally, Eidos has also addressed the game’s crashes and corrupted saves, which was done after many users reported several issues that have been causing crashes and save corruptions while playing the game.

“Is there any kind of update you can give the customers? This is getting kind of ridiculous. People are begging for any kind of update as to whether they are safe to play and we're simply being ignored,” a player wrote in the official forum.

“The live team has fixed a huge number of things for a patch, which is currently being tested. I believe it's on it's way to PC today and consoles ASAP as well. We're getting a bunch of crash fixes in there, which should reduce, and for the vast majority, remove the save game crash issues,” the company replied. “However, we are not able to fix corrupted saves so if you're worried about your saves, please make backup copies of them. As soon as we know more, we'll keep you informed. I'm very sorry about the delays in both patches and information but identifying issues just take time and potential radio silence isn't because we don't want to share anything - it's because we don't have the correct information (until now).”

“Hitman: Absolution” was released on Nov. 20, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
