‘Pokemon: The First Movie’ And ’Space Jam’ Returns To The Big Screen After 20 Years

90's nostalgia has been strong recently and it is getting even stronger. Twenty years ago, basketball legend Michael Jordan along with Bugs Bunny and some of the popular Looney Tunes characters starred in a live-action animated movie titled "Space Jam."

The movie follows the story of Michael Jordan during his retirement from basketball to play baseball while Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck find ways to save themselves from being captured by intergalactic aliens. The animated characters later on recruited Michael Jordan to teach them and play with their team. There are many cameos from different basketball stars in the 90's throughout the film. "Space Jam" is the highest grossing basketball film of all time grossing at $230 million worldwide.

On the other hand, "Pokemon: The First Movie" hit the theaters in 1999 but the original video game which launched a multi-billion franchise, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, the movie will be heading back to the theaters soon.

"Pokemon: The First Movie" follows the story of protagonist Ash Ketchum and his Pokemon Pikachu. It shows how a legendary Pokemon's fossil was found was cloned into super soldiers named Mewtwo which Ash and Pikachu have to battle it out with. The movie is the most successful "Pokemon" movie worldwide and with the recent successful release of the game "Pokemon Go," it is expected that there are still people who will want to watch the movie.

Cinemark will be hosting the release of "Pokemon: The First Movie." It will be available on October 29 during 12pm or 12:15 pm showing and 7pm on November 1. "Pikachu's Vacation" which is a short film will also be released. The movie tickets will be sold for $5, similar to how much it was the first time it was shown.

"Space Jam" will be shown on November 13 at the 2pm and 6pm slots and on November 16 at 7pm. It will also feature a Looney Toon short film titled, "I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat."
