Skyrim: Special Edition On Xbox One Is Better Than PS4, Learn Why

Skyrim: Special Edition is not yet out in the market, but gamers using PS4 and Xbox One users are comparing how mods are exactly different between the gaming consoles. There are more limits to modding in Sony's console than in Microsoft's.

Why Is Xbox One Receiving More Mods From Bethesda?

According to IGN, Bethesda provided 65 mods for Xbox One, ten of which are what the PlayStation 4 has. The reason behind this is Microsoft can tolerate mod updates and allows external assets. On the other hand, Sony does not accept user-created assets. Xbox One users will be able to download Dwarven railroads, survival mode extras and new character heads such as Thomas the Tank Engine into Skyrim: Special Edition.

Bethesda's Skyrim: Special Ediiton on PS4 and Xbox One are completely different in terms of graphics, but it can be noted that the gameplay is the same for both platforms. The difference even goes way back when the original title was released for PS3 and Xbox 360. Microsoft allowed modding, but Sony did not.

The major advantage of Skyrim" Special Edition on Xbox One is that it allows 5 GB of mods while on PS4 there is only 1 GB allotted for mods. Players will be the judge on how they will adjust in order to play the game because of the big difference on the modding system.

Other Insights About Skyrim Special Edition

According to NDTV, Skyrim: Special Edition may offer new mods but the players must not forget that it has better graphics, high-quality special effects and new downloadable content (DLC). The refresh will also include major bug fixes for the game.

However, there is one reported issue on Skyrim: Special Edition. The graphics or lighting inside the dungeons and caves are not as good as the outside areas such as the meadows and forests. Nevertheless, the day and night transition is commendable because of the smooth effects.
