Overwatch Sombra ARG enthusiasts were once again given a glimpse on what to expect from Sombra. The latest clues hint that Sombra may not be a villain but a freedom fighter.
Sombra is Part of Los Muertos
The latest Sombra teasers indicate that the Los Muertos is not simply a criminal gang as they were earlier portrayed in the Soldier 76 "Hero" video clip. It seems the Muertos is actually a movement dedicated to overthrow an evil corporation - LumeriCo.
Many Overwatch ARG investigators assumed that Sombra is a TALON agent or mercenary after Reaper made some reference to her. The latest hints however, indicate that Sombra is part of the Los Muertos group and not TALON. The two organizations are working together but the clues are not enough to indicate what kind of partnership. TALON is a terrorist organization while Los Muertos is fighting for freedom.
Sombra Is One Of The Good Guys?
Based on the LumeriCo clues and emails it can be assumed the Sombra is one of the good guys. However, it cannot be denied that that she has a working relationship with Reaper. Perhaps she is providing her service to TALON in exchange for arms or logistics to the Los Muertos?
Sombra Comes Out On November 1?
Sombra herself posted a news page stating that they will overthrow Portero, the King (CEO?) of LumeriCo on November 1. Is this a hint that Sombra will be a playable character on that date? It is possible though that Blizzard may simply reveal the character on that date since her appearance has yet to be officially revealed. This can also confirmed if the allegedly leaked Sombra photos are real or fake. It will be good if she does but there are some doubts. It's now more likely that Blizzard is going to reveal Sombra at the Blizzcon event on November 4.
