"Days of Our Lives" has been ditching a number of characters during the past months more than the characters coming in. As of the latest news, another character is set to return on the daytime soap who had already been reported for quite some time to be coming back.
Chandler Massey Returns As Will Horton
For many times over, Daytime Emmy award-winning actor Chandler Massey had been reported to return on the set of "Days of Our Lives" since January. The 26-year-old Atlanta native used to play as Will Horton, a gay character. The latest report came from a blind item from a well-known website dedicated for the show. As Soaphub reported, the primary clue about the actor given out by the site's blind item is that he used to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy award.
Chandler Massey was believed to be the most suitable thespian to fit the specified description. As many "Days of Our Lives" fans would know, the speculation pointing to Massey as the perfect candidate does not suit the clue in a way as he was a Daytime Emmy winner, not just a nominee. For the record, Massey received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Dramas Series for three consecutive years for the same role since 2012.
More Actors Rumored To Return
Meanwhile, more actors are also rumored to reprise their roles on the show, which include Kassie DePaiva as Eve Donovan, True O'Brien as Paige Larson and Alison Sweeney as Sami Brady. It was clear, however, that O'Brien's character died alongside Chandler Massey's. It wouldn't be impossible though that Paige may indeed be back in many ways just like what happened to Orpheus, (George DelHoyo) who fans saw last week was dead but was actually alive after all.
As for Sweeney and DePaiva's case, there have been no further clues about their comeback stint but bringing back their characters will not be much of a daunting task since they left the show not by death. In other news, it was already confirmed that "General Hospital" alum Rob Derringer has joined the "Days of Our Lives" set.
