‘That’s So Raven’ Spinoff: Raven-Symone To Make A Comeback For Disney Series, Leaves ABC Talk Show ‘The View’

The all-time favorite "That's So Raven" craze is bound to happen again. Raven-Symone will reprise her role as Raven Baxter in the upcoming sitcom under Disney Channel. The spinoff will feature new and familiar characters for fans of the classic Disney show.

"That's So Raven" proved to be a hit during its run from 2003 to 2007, consisting of three seasons. In 2005 and 2007, it was nominated for Emmy Awards for Outstanding Children's Programming. Originally, the show was entitled "Aboslutely Psychic" until the production decided to change it into one of the most trending titles of today.

As per reports, Symone, 30, expressed her excitement to play the part and work as an executive producer for "That's So Raven 2." The show will focus on Baxter's life as a single mother of two pre-teen kids. The fun twist that this new venture will showcase is that one of her children inherited her capability to see the future.

Adam Bonnett, Disney Channel Worldwide executive, shared that Symone has been a "driving force" for Disney channel's success. "Raven's brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel's success around the world," Bonnett said. "Her performance in 'That's So Raven' is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we're looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family."

As reported on E! News, Symone's will exit her ABC's daytime talk show "The View" to focus on her upcoming Disney Channel show. It has been revealed that she will bid her goodbye to "The View" in December.

Meanwhile, casting for "That's So Raven" spinoff will start soon, according to Symone. "We're going to be going around the country finding ... really good, talented females and males to be in the show," she said. "So anybody who wants to be on Disney Channel, there's going to be auditions soon for the 'That's So Raven' spin-off."
