Cheaper Alternatives To Apple's New MacBook Pro

Apple has unveiled its new MacBook Pro filled with specs that provide Pro-level performance. The tech giant went as far to call it the best MacBook and laptop yet. That should already warn people about the price for the new MacBook Pro 2016.

The new MacBook Pro has three configurations. The cheapest one starts at $1,499. It's a 13-inch MacBook Pro that is equipped with a 2.0GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 CPU, 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM and only two USB-C ports.

But to get the MacBook Pro's scene-stealer OLED touch bar, it will cost you at least $1,799. The 13-inch MacBook Pro has 2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 CPU, the same 256GB of storage and a bigger RAM at 16GB.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro is even more expensive with a starting price of $2,399. It also has a Touch Bar with Touch ID, a 2.6GHz CPU, 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. The internal storage could be upgraded to 512GB. But that will cost you $2,799.

The most expensive MacBook Pro costs a whopping $4,299. This should already be expected with specs that include 2.9GHz, 2TB of storage, an upgraded RAM Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB of memory.

Since the new MacBook Pro does not come with the traditional USB port, you will spend more buying adapters and other accessories.

If you can't afford a MacBook Pro, you can buy cheaper alternatives.

Cheaper Alternatives To The New MacBook Pro

According to Tech Radar, there is the cheaper MacBook Pro Retina if you want to stick with MacBook. It is still available in the Apple Store at starting price of $1,299. It is powered by Intel Core i5 to Core i7. It also has 8GB to 16GB of RAM and a 128 to 512GB of storage. It offers good performance and long battery life. It comes along with Apple's Force Touch trackpad.

Or there is still the MacBook Air at a price of $866.99. It has an excellent battery life, lasting about 13 hours. It also has full-sized ports and integrated with a very capable Intel Core i5. The Air has 8GB of RAM and 128GB to 256GB of storage. It also does not hurt that the Air is a thin and light laptop.

For only $850, you can get a Dell XPS 13. According to The Telegraph, it is the smallest 13-inch laptop in the market. It also boasts a bezel-less Infinity display. If you want a really long battery life, the Dell XPS 13 could offer you up to 22 hours.

It is also integrated with Intel's Skylake processors. It has 4GB to 8GB of RAM and 128GB to 256GB of SSD.

The Microsoft Surface Book is a hybrid laptop that will cost you $1,329. If you are looking for portability, the Surface Book can also be a dependable tablet. In fact, as a tablet, it's one of the most powerful Windows 10 tablet. As a laptop, it has 8GB to 16GB of RAM and 128 to 256GB of storage.

The HP Spectre costs $1,249 with an upgraded configuration to Intel Core i7. It also comes with three USB-C ports, 8GB LPDDR3 SDRAM and a 256GB to 512GB of storage. It's a powerful laptop that has a beautiful design. You will get all of it at a lower price.

There are still a lot of other cheaper alternatives out there. It depends on your budget. If it's for personal use, you might not need a laptop as expensive as the new MacBook Pro.
