Some leaked slides uploaded on CrackBerry's reader forums reveal that the BlackBerry 10 will come with a BBM Video feature, which closely resembles popular smartphone video chat features such as FaceTime or Skype.
With BBM Video, a chat between two contacts can be quickly switched over to BBM Video. According to speculations, BBM Video will show a small display of the owner's image at the bottom left of the display whilst a bigger display of the other person will takes up much of the screen.
Blackberry-maker Research In Motion's (RIM) new mobile operating system, BlackBerry 10 is further speculated to have a screen sharing facility with which users can share a screen with their BBM friends.
A second slide in the presentation showcases a task manager application called BlackBerry Remember. It is believed to be a capture-based to-do feature meaning the tasks saved to Remember can be synced with Outlook's calendar app. BlackBerry Remember is speculated to be a replacement for RIM's native Tasks apps. BlackBerry Remember may also include integration with Evernote.
BlackBerry 10 promises to be faster and smoother and is slated for an official launch on Jan. 30. Blackberry has been facing stiff competition from high-end smartphones such as iPhone and others running on Google's Android operating system. In its renewed efforts, RIM is banking high on BlackBerry 10 and hoping that the revised version will bring back the lost glory to the Canadian smartphone maker.
