Five Facts You Need To Know About The 'Xbox Scorpio' Unveiled

Xbox Project Scorpio has been designed to potentially be the next big stride in Microsoft's gaming field, even if the tech company has recently stated that it is going to sit alongside the Xbox One and Xbox One S. The project is going to be coming up with some revolutionary improvements that would surely make it a huge hit. With that being said, here are 5 things that you need to know about the Xbox Scorpio:

Not the Xbox Two

Although a lot has speculated about this newest console being Xbox two, from the way Microsoft is talking about Project Scorpio and the impressive refresh that it will be having for all Xbox consoles, Xbox Scorpio is still going to be Xbox One no matter what. But that doesn't mean the Scorpio isn't one of a kind. The upcoming Xbox will boast a lot of features that will truly revolutionize it among other Xbox names.

Project Scorpio will be released in 2017

Heartbreaking, I know. But to be able to develop the most powerful console is certainly going to take some time. Also, Microsoft is also not intending to overshadow the release of its smaller and lighter counterpart, the Xbox One Slim. Which is why Microsoft will instead not rush themselves and will be releasing the console in 2017.

The Scorpio could potentially be the last console that Microsoft will release

With the Xbox Project Scorpio, Microsoft is making strides to a different approach towards console gaming. Much like Sony's PS4 Pro, the Scorpio is a mid-generation release that is anticipated to be a huge upgrade in terms of power and potential, despite it still being very much compatible with older Xbox One games and hardware.

Xbox Project Scorpio is going to be powerful

Microsoft has already made it clear that the Xbox Scorpios is going to be the most powerful console to date. Details and info, however, are still pretty unclear up to this point, but we already know that it'll be powered by an AMD CPU, so from there we can already tell that it is going to be something.

Scorpio will be able to run on other Xbox peripherals

The Xbox Scorpio will be fully compatible with any Xbox One controllers. Microsoft is already calling it a platform evolution. Let's just think of it as something similar to a new iPhone arriving.
