2013 International CES (or CES 2013), the biggest tech extravaganza in the world, kicked off Sunday, Jan. 6, with CES Unveiled, a special invite-only event where the press gets to see the displayed honorees of CES Innovations Awards.
Every year thousands of consumer technology manufacturers enter their products for this prestigious award. The entries are judged on "overall engineering qualities related to technical specifications and materials, aesthetics and design qualities, the product's intended use and function, unique features and how the design and innovation compares to others in the marketplace," according to CEA (Consumer Electronics Association).
