The year seems to be full of reboot and reunion announcements with some shows and groups making a comeback. Now it seems that Destiny's Child is also planning on putting Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams back on stage. An Instagram account for the classic girl group was launched on Oct. 21 and there have been four posts on the account as of the moment. The Instagram account happens to be a verified account, which is at the heart of the hopeful speculations that the group who gave life to awesome tracks like "Say My Name" and "Run The World" will make a grand comeback.
Destiny's Child Instagram Account
News of a reunion for the girl group Destiny's Child just needed one rumor to spark a fire. A verified Instagram account that appeared suddenly is just the fuel that fans needed to assume that Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will be in the same stage as a girl group again. Destiny's Child disbanded back in 2006 but they have been together for some shows even after the group officially disbanded.
The Instagram account that started all those reunion rumors is maintained by Legacy Recordings which is under Sony Music Entertainment. As of this writing, there are four posts on the account but no further details on any plans for a Destiny's Child reunion yet.
Possible Reunion Tour
Based on the latest interview with Rowland, she revealed that the ladies from Destiny's Child still keep tabs on each other. In fact, they take the time to hang out although the last time they were together, they have not talked about doing a reunion concert or anything like that. The last time the girls were seen together was during Rowland's birthday back in February.
It should be noted that the group released compilation albums, "Mathew Knowles & Music World Present Vol.1: Love Destiny" for their 10th anniversary in 2008 and "The Very Best of Destiny's Child" for their 15th anniversary in 2011. Since 2016 marks the 20th anniversary, it's possible that an album is on its way too. This time, the group can have more than just a compilation album but also a reunion tour that will kick off by 2017. Although there are promising signs of a reunion, these remain to be speculations for now until an official announcement is made.
