Surface Pro is set to release next year, it appears Lenovo is getting ready to deliver it own rival to the upcoming 2-in-1, called the Miix 720, which will be released for the holiday season. However, The Lenovo Miix 720 hasn't officially been unveiled yet, so there's no word from Lenovo on how much it will cost or when it will go on sale.
The Mixx 720 features Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor available in i3, i5 or i7 configurations (2.4 to 3.5 GHz with turbo boost), 4-16 GB RAM, 128 to 1024 GB storage, a 12 inch high-resolution 3:2 2880×1920 pixel display with Gorilla Glass 4, multiple USB ports, a stylus with 2048 pressure levels and Windows Hello via an iris scanning infra-red camera. A keyboard cover is also available which now comes with a backlight according to MS Power User.

The Lenovo Miix 720 has 1-megapixel in front and 5-megapixel rear cameras compared to Surface pro 5 MP front-facing camera and 8 MP rear.
The USB-C port is also used for charging the tablet's 41Wh battery, moreover, The tablet alone measures about 0.35 inches thick and weighs about 1.7 pounds and the keyboard cover and you've got a device that's about 0.57 inches thick and 2.4 pounds.
The Surface competitor will, unsurprisingly, keep Lenovo's trademark watchband hinge and will come in both gold and black. According to the report, it will gain an infrared camera to log in with Windows Hello via facial recognition. Additionally, it seems that Lenovo will ship a new version of its stylus, the Active Pen 2, with more levels of pressure sensitivity, mentioned from Laptop Mag.
Lenovo has not confirmed an official word, release date and pricing yet but we can all say that it is as good as Microsoft Surface pro when it comes to performance and specs. Stay tuned for more updates.
