The Elder Scrolls 6 is probably among the highly anticipated titles from Bethesda. Since day one, many have already speculated about its existence as well as the possible features it'll introduce. However, just recently, the studio's very own Pete Hines has shed some light on the ongoing rumors about the supposed game. Unfortunately, as per his words, it's not even an inch in development. Sad but true.
Via Twitter, Hines has been very generous in responding to every inquiry from The Elder Scrolls 6 fans. From questions to questions, he did everything he can to inform the general public. A certain fan asked him about the aforementioned title's development status. And unfortunately, the answer isn't really pleasing.
According to Hines, "nobody is working on it," referring to the talked about installment The Elder Scrolls 6. In fact, he even iterated that since the beginning, they only stated that the studio has plans on doing. However, in terms of any developmental process, it's far from reality.
That, contrary to popular belief, The Elder Scrolls 6 has never entered the first phase -- which means the development stage. A fan by the Twitter name of @StealthBlade98 suggests that Hines' answer is merely a PR for "Yes, we're working on it." That rather, the game is in pre alpha status already.
Somehow, the aforesaid The Elder Scrolls 6 fan can't be blamed. Why? This is because Bethesda also said the same thing about Fallout 4 in the past. The game was thought to be on development or on its upcoming release, but the video game company kept saying no. Heck, they were even denying reports about it. However, after a couple of months, the first trailer for the said installment arrived.
So, in a sense, Hines might be doing the same "PR" strategy for The Elder Scrolls 6. It might be a way for the studio to generate hype. Or perhaps, they don't want to count their chickens before the eggs even hatch. Only time can tell definitely.
As previously reported here at iTech Post, lots of interesting features are believed to arrive to The Elder Scrolls 6. One is the possibility of the game introducing a brand new class system. Aside from that, players can expect a settlements-like feature, something akin to that of Fallout 4's.
