The Pokemon GO Halloween event is over, but almost all fans will agree that it was a success. Niantic definitely turned the tide, showing to the community that they're capable of bringing such excitement. More importantly, this signals the possibility of more events in the future -- one of which is the Winter event. Without doubt, this is going to be a lot more interesting than the previous one. Anyway, here's everything we know so far about it.
Increased Spawns Of Pokemon GO Ice Types
Obviously, this is one of the many things Pokemon GO players can expect during the Winter event. It fits well to the season. Won't believe? Well, remember the increase of ghost type creatures during the Halloween activity. With that being said, fans will probably get to see more of Dewgong, Seel and Lapras, among others. These Pokemon are enough to make the event chilly and cold.
More Pokemon GO Candies
The interesting part about the Halloween event in Pokemon GO is the dramatic increase of candies. It's no secret that Niantic did it on purpose so as to bring the gameplay to another level. In one way or another, it also made the game a bit easy to dominate. So, in a sense, it's safe to say that such mechanic will be brought as well during the Winter event. Besides, doing so resulted to more active players. It sure ramped up the numbers all the way through the roof.
Weather Effects In Pokemon GO
How can the studio make the aforementioned event in tune to Pokemon GO? Well, first by adding a windy and chilly weather effects. Yes, that's right -- a snowy environment with some sort of effects related to winter. While this may not entirely affect the gameplay, it'll probably give the hit augmented reality title a huge boost. It's also a way to attract the attention of players, especially those who've decided to call it quits. And maybe, just maybe, Niantic will decide to add cosmetic options or items apt for the season.
Seasonal Pokemon GO Avatar Clothing
If Niantic plans to up the Pokemon GO ante during Winter, they must be ready to go beyond the extra miles. And by that, it means adding a little more on the cosmetic and/or fashion stuff. Perhaps, the developers can introduce avatar clothing similar to the season. Say hats and clothes designed to keep the Holiday chill at a minimum level. It's definitely a great addition to see in the game.
XP Boosts And/Or Rewards In Pokemon GO
Another reason for the success of the Halloween event in Pokemon GO is the introduction of rewards. Remember in the event wherein players can level up faster than they did before? Well, there's no way the studio won't do such gig in the Winter event. In fact, they can move forward with bonus items or such. The idea here is to give players something to work had for. For instance, they meet a certain goal, they'll be rewarded with something. You, guys, get the idea anyway.
