New game titles launched by Microsoft have been added to the list of Xbox One backwards compatibility
Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List
November was the month when Microsoft first started its Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program. It seems that now the company is looking to celebrate with some more major release game titles.
The new backwards compatibility games launched by Microsoft for Xbox One might be part of the company's strategy to counter balance the upcoming PS4 Pro s launch by rival Sony. Most tech experts expect an upcoming battle of the Xbox One S vs. PS 4 Pro.
According to Attack Of The Fan Boy, Xbox's Larry Hryb said that Microsoft is set to celebrate later this month the anniversary of Xbox One backwards compatibility. According to the website Finder.com, Hyrb attended the PAX Australia event. The website also claimed that a "huge announcement" is coming, but on Reddit Hyrb corrected the claim.
New Titles On Backwards Compatibility List
"Blue Dragon" and "LIMBO" were among the game titles confirmed ready to play by Hryb. These titles add to the the recent releases of "Killer is Dead," "RAGE" and "Shred Nebula." Other game titles revealed for the program have yet to be launched, including "Skate 3," and the "Bioshock" trilogy.
According to Express, Xbox One chief Phil Spencer dropped a big hint on other projects that might follow those listed above. He said that Microsoft Backward Compatibility team just sent him their planned November list that includes some top fan requests.
For now it is still unclear what titles Spencer is talking about. However, the remaining top-requested games include "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim," "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."
On the list there are also titles such as "GTA IV," "Mass Effect 2," as well as "Batman: Arkham City." Many other "Call of Duty" titles are also included in the top ten, which makes more likely an eventual inclusion from that particular franchise.
Spencer could have also been hinting to the "Bioshock" trilogy and "Skate 3." Both game titles are quite popular backwards compatibility requests.
