George R.R. Martin Is Campaigning For Hillary? Author Not Busy With 'Winds Of Winter'?

For fans hoping that George R.R Martin is somewhere in a locked room writing "Winds of Winter" may be in for a disappointment. Numerous reports suggest that the author might be busy with other stuff far bigger than the fate of "Westeros" as he is in the midst of campaigning for Hillary Clinton.

In his Live Journal, the author posted about his preferred candidate. This is what George R.R Martin has to say:

"Clinton's ads are something else. Very different, and -- to my mind -- much more truthful. The star of all the Clinton ads in Donald J. Trump. There are no deliberately unflattering photographs, however. Nothing in black and white. Just video clips, full color, professional footage from news cameras at his rallies, interviews, television appearances. There's no name-calling either. Clinton doesn't need to label Trump as "crooked" or "a liar" or link him with "perverts." Clinton's ads just show Trump being Trump."

It seemed like the author has taken some offense on Trump's penchant for making childish and personal attacks to his opponents. He added some strong words towards the end of the blog post which was dated on Nov. 04.

"In my lifetime, there has never been a presidential candidate more unfit to lead this nation."

But on a post by Hillary for New Mexico on November 5, the "Game of Thrones" creator might have up the ante from making mere posts. At it was said that he made a surprise appearance to volunteers in Santa Fe to encourage early voting. The post was aptly headlined with the words "Hold The Door!"

George R.R Martin's sudden rise to action is his belief that New Mexico, who voted for Barack Obama in the last elections, have returned to their "battleground" status and might vote for Trump.

Fans may have to hold their breaths a little while longer for the final books.
