The Los Angeles Auto Show this 2016 will surely bring new hope to the car industry as it introduces new cars from different car brands. Every year, new cars age getting better at safety, technology, durability and fuel efficiency. Here, we highlight the cars that people are expecting to see at the show.
Finally, A New Civic Si
Honda has been neglecting requests of fans for years and has not had a new generation of the Honda Civic Si since 2011. Honda has focused on updating their other versions of the Civic and other cars such as the BR-V and the Mobilio. This year's auto show may finally give an answer to the Honda fans as some sources have already spotted a possible Civic Si Prototype being tested as far back as July. Reports say the new Si will be similar to the Type R with slight differences but with a less powerful engine. The new Honda Civic Si may not be getting the same 2.0 Turbocharged VTEC engine, but hey, it is still a Si.
A Souped-Up Nissan
This may or may not be true, but rumors are spreading about a new Nissan Sentra all over the Internet. It has been awhile since Nissan released a new version of their compact sedan, and Nissan fans might just get a new Sentra this year. Although Nissan is well known for the creation of the GTR, the car world's Godzilla, it is getting quite old. The 370z is not aging quite well and the turbocharged Juke Nismo is not making the scene that Nissan wants it to do. A new Sentra could just give Nissan the boost it needed, and a Nismo version could give them what they need to get fans excited again.
The First SUV By Alfa Romeo
Reports mentioned that the Italian car manufacturer would finally be launching its first SUV named the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Although it took the company a while before deciding to add an SUV to their lineup, the launching if the Stelvio is going to be the first among nine new cars that Alfa will be releasing until the year 2021. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio is rumored to be getting the same 2.0-turbocharged engine that can also be found in the Giulia.
BMW ReachNow
Okay, this might not be the best name the German manufacturer has come up with, but it is still a BMW. The BMW ReachNow is the companies' addition to the car-sharing scene. It is a program that allows users to rent a BMW car by using the phone app, much like Uber. They are currently offering both BMW and Mini brands.
