One of the biggest elements that affect the gameplay and endings of Dishonored 2 is the chaos level, which can be high or low. High level of chaos means darker gameplay and ending while low level means lighter gameplay. Here are some Dishonored 2 tips to keep your chaos level low by utilizing your stealth ability.
Boost your powers earlier
Whether you play Emily or Corvo, you have to boost the important powers you need to have if you are taking the non-lethal path. Some of the powers you need to upgrade very early on include Possession and Dark Vision for both characters. If you're using Emily boost her Shadow Walk and Mesmerize abilities. If you're using Corvo, boost Blink. Don't forget to save up runes for this, though.
The way of peace
If you're heading towards the non-lethal gameplay, some of the non-lethal alternatives that prove effective are drop attacks and slide attacks. A full frontal attack when the enemy is startled is also a good alternative.
Keep track of your stats
Keeping track of your tracks is very important if you are trying to achieve certain Achievements. You can find them on the options menu. There, you'll be able to see how many you killed, enemies who have spotted you in order to fulfill the mission.
Be careful of the guards
Guards are very observant and they will notice even the slightest anomalies - missing colleagues, powered down Walls of Light, windows and doors that have been left opened, missing items, and sounds. These things can put guards on high alert and can increase your chaos level.
Another Dishonored 2 tip to remember is that darkness is not always your best ally in this game. Rather, be mindful of the guard's line of vision and always find something to hide you from their line of vision.
Always hide the bodies
Even in real life, this is a no-brainer. A body left in the open can be seen by a passing patrol guard. You can use metal boxes, dumpsters, or even bathtubs to hide the bodies. You can even stash them around dark corners.
Crafted Bonecharms increase your stealth
Bonecharm crafting is a new feature in Dishonored 2 which allows you to mix and match Bonecharms according to your needs. To do this, destroy bonecharms first to discover their secrets. Then, combine them with a raw whalebone to create something new.
It's okay to kill Bloodflies and Clockwork Soldiers. Killing them will not affect your chaos level so don't let them get in your way and annihilate them.
