President Obama Will Answer Your Post-State Of The Union Address Questions Through Google Hangout

Two days after delivering his 2013 State of the Union address, President Barack Obama will be taking to a Google Hangout interview in order to answer post-speech questions from the general public.

The Hangout - a live video chat "face to face" experience between a maximum of ten people - with the President will occur just in time for Valentine's Day (Thursday) at 4:50 p.m. ET.

The digital interview will be accessible via the White House's YouTube and Google+ pages.

Whereas anyone can submit questions qua video clips posted to the White House YouTube Channel up to 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, "selected participants" will also be asking questions through a live conversation held with the President throughout the Hangout itself.

These participants include what Google calls "people who regularly discuss important issues of the day online."

This will be the second such "Fireside Hangout" held by Obama, with the first held after last year's State of the Union Address.

The President has previously taken part in a Google+ Hangout three other times, joined by fellow "Fireside Hangout" alums Vice President Joe Biden and Domestic Policy Director Cecilia Munoz who have taken to the chats over the last few weeks as a platform to discuss numerous topics.

The White House has posted the hour-long State of the Union Address from this year on its YouTube page, and Google suggests anyone still wanting to ask questions should definitely give it a look.

The first post-Address Hangout - which took place in Jan. 2012 - was said to have attracted 250,000 visits by members looking to pose questions to the President, as reported by Google.

During that Hangout, the President talked about everything from jobs to manufacturing in America, and even went so far as to help find one participant's engineer husband a job.

According to the White House, its staff uses Google+ "and other social media networks and online tools to directly connect President Obama and his Administration directly with the American people."

The White House blog went on to report that more than 1.4 million people have followed its Google+ page since it joined "a little over a year ago."
