Samsung Galaxy S8 News: It Will Feature A Pressure-Sensitive Display

The next Samsung Galaxy, which will be the Galaxy S7’s successor, might be named as Galaxy S8. The new Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to go official at the beginning of next year. Many rumors suggest that the upcoming smartphone might launch in two display sizes – 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch. Aside from that, it will also have a pressure-sensitive display.

ThePressure-Sensitive Display

As reported by BGR, Samsung Galaxy S8 rumors have been coming in at a furious clip lately, and the most recent report relays that Samsung’s next generation smartphone will incorporate a pressure sensitive display. This feature is similar to what Apple first introduced with its 3D Touch feature on the iPhone 6s last year.

According to an anonymous Samsung supplier who spoke to The Korea Herald, Samsung is considering adding the feature to the Galaxy S8 and, later on down the line, perhaps to other devices in its product lineup as well.

Samsung is mulling to adopt the force touch technology partially from the S8 but the full adoption qill (sic) come in one or two years... It is a matter of time before other major Android smartphone makers deploy the technology that will help enhance user interface.

The Samsung company is interested in releasing a new feature which is the pressure-sensitive display. It should hardly come as a surprise since the other smartphone companies routinely copy and modify features from rival handset manufacturers. So, therefore, as Evas Blass has tipped that the upcoming Galaxy smartphones might be named as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus with a great feature just like the leading smartphone nowadays.

More specifications

The Investor has been spewing S8 rumors left and right over the past few weeks. Previously, the South Korean website speculated Samsung’s upcoming flagship device will don a killer edge-to-edge OLED display that will come in two sizes – a 5.2-inch as well as a 6.2-inch version, as TNW reported.

Other Features

Aside from the two variants mentioned and the pressure-sensitive display feature of the expected Galaxy S8 next year, rumors also suggest Samsung's forthcoming flagship phone will have two cameras and a dual-curved screen.
