Michael Schumacher Latest Updates: F1 Legend Joins Social Media; Aims To Share Career Moments Via Facebook And Instagram

Fans of the F1 legend Michael Schumacher can finally reminisce and commemorate the former champion's astonishing career through his official social media accounts in Facebook and Instagram. That's right. Despite being in an unstable health condition, the German racer's public pages became alive.

Recently, avid fans of Schumacher were treated with a surprise after the unexpected launch of the racer's official Instagram account. Schumacher's Instagram account, michaelschumacher, was launched just in time for his first World Championship's 22nd year anniversary.

Schumacher's Instagram account's description reads: "Michael Schumacher Official Instagram account for the wonderful fans of F1 legend Michael Schumacher. This is his "paddock" for them to meet; established with thanks."

So far, Schumacher's team already shared three photos of the F1 legend, all of which serves as a tribute to the 47-year-old racer's impressive career. The account's very first post was a photo of the racer captioned with:

"Welcome everyone to Michael's paddock! We love to share memories with you and what better start could there be than the upcoming anniversary of Michael's first world championship title. From November 13 this page will be our meeting place to collect and exchange memories and to celebrate Michael's many achievements, established as a thank you gesture to all you wonderful fans. #TeamMichael #TeamMS #keepfighting"

As of this writing, Schumacher's Instagram account already reached almost 93 thousand followers, just four days after it went live. Schumacher's account is expected to gain even more followers in the next days to come.

Aside from Instagram, Schumacher's publicity team also launched a new Facebook account for the former champion. The said launch was also in line with his first championship title which he won way back November 13, 1994.

"Welcome everyone to Michael's paddock! We love to share memories with you and what better start could there be than the upcoming anniversary of Michael's first world championship title," the post from his Facebook page reads. "From November 13 this page will be our meeting place to collect and exchange memories and to celebrate Michael's many achievements, established as a thank you gesture to all you wonderful fans."

At the moment, Schumacher's Facebook page has already gained more than 1.5 million likes and still counting. It was also revealed that a Twitter account is also on its way. It just goes to show that the world of social media welcomes the F1 legend whole-heartedly.

Meanwhile, it was reported that both social media accounts are looked after by the seven-time Formula One World Champion's manager Sabine Kehm. The sudden exposure of Schumacher on social media came as a surprise to many considering how discreet and private his family and manager was about anything related to his condition.

With Schumacher's active social media accounts, fans are hopeful that they will finally get updates about his health and other significant announcements. The said accounts will also be a portal to express their warm messages and support to Schumacher.

On the other hand, Schumacher's current health condition remains to be in a blur. However, there were reports that the racer is already showing good signs. British engineer Ross Brawn, who also happens to be the former Mercedes team's sporting director, recently revealed that Schumacher is showing "encouraging signs." Brawn is one of the few people who are in the loop about Schumacher's condition given that he has a close relationship with the racer and his family.

"There are encouraging signs and we are all praying every day to see some more," he said."The family has chosen to take Michael's convalescence in private and I must respect it, so it's hard for me to say much more because I respect family privacy."
