Android And iOS Prepares For Big 'Pokemon Go' Update Next Week

Pokémon GO fans are gearing up for the games upcoming a big bonus event next week, according to some recent reports. Pokémon GO has been reported to be holding an upcoming special bonus event to celebrate the US holiday Thanksgiving on November 24. This is according to some very credible sources, which claims to have overheard the news straight from a source at Niantic.

Pokémon GO will be having a Thanksgiving update

While reports of the said Pokémon GO Thanksgiving event are not yet crystal clear, it has already been confirmed that Niantic is planning some sort of seasonal event for Christmas, which is pretty similar to the previous event that took place on Halloween. It's also very possible that the event will be taking place in the U.S. only. The Pokémon GO team has had their hands full lately releasing lots of new events and updates.

Pokémon GO's latest update features an all-new daily bonus reward, which awards players with some bonus XP and stardust for their first catch of the day. To celebrate the official launch of this new feature, Niantic has also released some more Pokémon and items for the players to catch and acquire. This follows right after the recently concluded Pokémon GO Halloween event, which introduced numerous bonuses and increased the spawn rate of certain Pokémon. 100 new second generation Pokémon will also be hitting the game as part of an unreleased update.

More features to look forward to

Other reports also claim that Niantic is gearing up to introducing Player versus Player (PvP) battles, as well as the full range of second generation Pokémon this coming December. Niantic has already hinted that big changes will be coming to the game before the year ends. While the rumored PvP system hasn't been mentioned that much since launch, fans did discover some codes for the upcoming second generation Pokémon in a recent update.
