Nintendo and The Pokemon Company had introduced a cool new feature to their latest game title Pokemon Sun and Moon. This new feature will enable players to add a Pokemon via scanning its respective QR codes. Additionally, the company also shows the players where to catch these adorable monsters within the Alola Island. Meanwhile, the QR codes also unlock a special function called Island Scans.
According to the report from WWG, players can unlock a single Island Scan for every 10 QR codes scanned. These Island Scans reveals a particular location of a Pokemon that is not found in the actual Pokemon Sun and Moon. In addition, the Island Scan feature marks new players to catch Starter Pokemon in the wild. However, there are only two generations of Starters available as of now. Based on the report, players will be given an hour to grasp the Pokemon revealed by the scan while they are allowed to have one Island Scan per day.
According to the source, it seems like the Island Scans are random at first. However, it has been revealed that there is acutally a pattern behind this feature. Moreover, the Pokemon revealed in the Island Scan varies on the day of the week and which Island the player is scanning. The list has been provided which includes the location and when to catch these Pokemon via Island Scan.
First location would be at Melemele Island where Cyndaquil (Sunday), Totodile (Monday), Deino (Tuesday), Horsea (Wednesday), Kilink (Thursday), Chikorita (Friday) and Litwick (Saturday) can be caught via Island Scan. Same goes to the next area which is the Akala Island where you can find Gothita, Spheal, Luxio, Honedge, Venipede, Bellsprout and Marill. respectively. Third is the Ula'ula Island, it comprised of Rhyhorn, Swinub, Duosion, Roselia, Staravia, Vigoroth and Axew. Last area will be at Poni Island where Elektross, Conkeldurr, Togekiss, Leavanny, Serperior, Samurott and Emboar can be found.
