Turns out those who were not able to get their hands on the NES Classic console still has a chance to do so. Walmart just relisted the console in their website, but there's a catch. It is priced at $496.97, which is a far cry from the original price of $60.
To those who are desperate to get the NES Classic, this might seem a good deal. But in truth, it is far from being a good deal even to the most desperate. However, Walmart pricing it so just means that there are potential buyers out there. Who knows, it might have already received hundreds of orders. As of this writing, the product page with the incredibly huge price is still live.
Sadly, there are not much options out there right now. Stocks have quickly sold out. Walmart even hosted a daily promo last week in which buyers have a chance to get one for a certain period of time. It ended well for the lucky few, but stocks went out every day in a few minutes.
There are resellers out there who have on-hand NES Classic consoles, but the prices are also exaggerated. Buyers are losing here, so Nintendo is trying hard to meet the demands. The Japanese company clearly did not expect this good a reception.
Meanwhile, those who want one and still have hope may want to watch out for Black Friday 2016. It is believed that major retailers have been receiving stocks to prepare for the big day. If this is true, then fans can expect an all-out sale in the upcoming holiday. The original price might even go lower, but this is just wishful thinking.
Apart from Walmart, other retailers to check out are Amazon and Best Buy. It is advised to refresh the product page on the official websites of sellers every now and then to check whether the NES Classic has been available.
