A month after the release of the Lenovo Miix 510, details of a possible new Miix device have been leaked. According to rumors, the new Lenovo tablet will be called the Miix 520.
The leak originated from a German blog called WinFuture.
The supposed successor to the Miix 510 looks eerily similar to the Microsoft Surface maybe because it's supposed to compete with the latter as indicated in the leak.
Specifications
The new Lenovo tablet will have a 12.3-inch display with a pixel resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 and equipped with Gorilla Glass. Three models of the Miix 520 will have Intel Kaby Lake processors under their hoods. The leak mentioned four possible variants of processors. They are the 2.0GHz Intel Core i3-7006U, 2.4GHz Intel Core i3-7100U, 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-7200U, and 2.7GHz Intel Core i5-07500U.
There are also speculations that the 2-in-1 device will have 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. A MicroSD card reader will expand the storage.
The 520 will sport a magnesium aluminium housing while the ports will include a couple of USB Type C ports and a full-size USB 3.0 port. It will also possibly have a couple of speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio certification.
A dual camera system is rumored to be located at the back of the tablet. The 8 and 2 megapixel rear cameras may be used for augmented reality. At the front is a 5 megapixel camera for selfies and video chats. The battery can last for ten hours on a single charge.
Accessories
The Miix 520 will come with an optional keyboard cover and active stylus with Wacom technology along with a fold-out stand and the Watch Band hinge.
Ubergizmo reminds consumers that the details mentioned here are only speculations and as with other such leaks of previous devices, one should wait for the official announcement from the company.
