Adobe Introduces Photoshop Touch For Phone

Wouldn't it be great to Photoshop from your smartphone? You can now edit and enhance pictures right on your smartphone thanks to Adobe's release of Photoshop Touch for phone. Don't think of this as a watered-down version of Photoshop; it offers many of the most popular and useful features of its desktop sibling.

Adobe has released Photoshop Touch for phone for iOS and Android smartphones. According to Adobe, Photoshop Touch for phone will allow smartphone users to combine images, apply professional effects, share photos easily using a built-in share button and more.

Here's a quick rundown of some of the features and capabilities of Photoshop Touch for phone: Smartphone users will be able to use Layers to combine multiple images on their smartphones to adjust layer order, control individual layer opacity, and move and manipulate layers.

Photoshop Selection Tools will allow users to quickly combine images and select parts of an image to extract by simply scribbling, thanks to the new Scribble Selection tool in Photoshop Touch.

Filter Brushes can be used to create effects on images by using your fingertip. Users can add text to images with the ability to apply strokes, drop shadows, fades and more.

The Refine Edge feature allows users to use their fingertips to capture hard-to-select image elements. The Tone and Color Adjustment tool will give users full control of adjusting composition, a layer or a specific selection.

Photoshop Touch for phone users will also have full integration with Adobe Creative Cloud, which will allow users to access and share files. Adobe has also included interactive tutorials so users can follow step-by-step guides to easily learn many of the same popular techniques used by Photoshop experts.

Adobe has impressively managed to pack many full Photoshop features into Photoshop Touch for phone. The app is available now in the App Store and Google Play Store for $4.99.
