Niantic seems to be consistent in celebrating American Holidays lately with events like Halloween and Thanksgiving. Apparently, if the trend continues, fans might witness amazing events to arrive in the augmented reality game Pokemon Go. If that is the case, players will most likely see a Christmas Event that is expected to arrive next month.
According to the report from Otakukart, it is recommended not to evolve their Pokemon after the Thanksgiving event since it will just be a waste of time and candy with a little of experience points gained. However, it was still suggested to activate a Lucky Egg instead when evolving them during the said event since you can gain as much as 4 times of the normal XP.
Based on the report, Pokemon Go enthusiasts suggest that players should stock their Pokemon up after the Thanksgiving Event. This is because of the potential arrival of Christmas Event next month that will bring numerous bonuses to their players. In addition, it is expected to be the next big thing for Pokemon Go.
Meanwhile, some players predicted that Niantic would focus their bonuses on other areas for future events such as the mass-spawn of Lapras in Japan. But the possibilities of having a boost on XP gained cannot be easily scratched.
On the other hand, some observed that players having levels 30 and above observed similar Pokemon. In other words, whether a trainer having a level of 30, 33 or 40, the Pokemon that they had encountered in the wild are capped. Apparently, the only benefit for levels 30 and up would hypothetically power-up your Pokemon. However, in a watered-down combat system, it does not really contribute that much of an advantage.
Currently, players are hoping that Niantic would spill the word regarding the next event. Meanwhile, stocking up your Pokemon would not risk anything in the process. That means it is a safe investment while waiting for the possible arrival of Pokemon Go's Christmas Event. However, if Christmas Event will not happen, there is still hope for a New Year Event that will happen days after the end of Christmas season.
