Walking Down Memory Lane: How Did Mark Ballas Propose To BC Jean Last Year?
Driving down memory lane before their actual wedding, it can be recalled that 30-year-old "Dancing with the Stars" pro Mark Ballas proposed to his girlfriend and bandmate BC Jean the day before Thanksgiving last year. Stirred by their song entitled "Roses and Violets," lined flowers up the driveway of their home in Los Angeles and setting their house in the most romantic scene imaginable. One year later, they are now officially a married couple.
Mark Ballas is well known for his dancing skills, having competed for "Dancing with the Stars" for quite a number of seasons. He currently appears in Broadway's "Jersey Boys" while her wife is a songwriter, well-known for writing Beyoncé's famous hit, "If I Were A Boy." During the wedding, Derek Hough served as Mark's best man, who posted a beautiful photo of them during the wedding. When it came to their first dance as husband and wife, Mark initially thought that they would just normally stand and sway to the song.

However, after listening to Coldplay's song "Magic," the heart of a dance in Ballas prompted him to alter the plan a little bit more. He ended up doing an arrangement and choreographed a very romantic Argentinian tango, to which he taught his wife-to-be himself. As they swayed just normally at the beginning, they surprised their guests by suddenly dancing a choreography together which dazzled them, falling even more in love with the couple. BC Jean then admitted that it felt like there was so much pressure on her being married to an iconic dancer, but Balas said that she definitely nailed their performance.
