The biggest and most anticipated event for hardcore gamers, game developers and producers The Game Awards 2016 has officially ended and revealing this year's victors. Additionally, the said event also revealed world premieres of upcoming various games which includes Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy.
According to the report from The BitBag, Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy has released a short trailer featuring a floating cassette tape player that plays another retro song. Fans will easily discover to whom this said item belongs to and he is no other than the infamous Star Lord, Peter Quill. With this trailer, the previous rumors are now confirmed that a new Guardians of the Galaxy game is currently under development.
As remembered, it was announced that the team behind Marvel will collaborate with Telltale to produce a new game title. However, both parties as of now is still quiet regarding to what IP they are working on. As seen on the trailer, it was revealed that Telltale Games' Guardians of the Galaxy will be a five-part episodic series. The upcoming game is slated for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Android, iOS platforms and perhaps there is another more.
Based on the report, all of Telltale's games have been available on multiple platforms and those last gen consoles surely would not fail to benefit from this game. Sources said that Telltales' Guardians of the Galaxy will have a target premiere date at probably around 2017. Prior to this date, the release of the film entitled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 5, 2017.
Apparently, Kevin Turner, co-founder and CEO of Telltale Games posted some hints on what to expect for this upcoming game. His post mentioned that the game would bring an energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork and full of sci-fi action-adventure. Turner also added that it will offer an extremely substantial space exploration via Telltale's unique style of interactive storytelling.
