'The New Celebrity Apprentice' Season 8: Arnold Schwarzenegger Takes Over Donald Trump's Reality Show; Celebrity Cast And Boardroom Helpers Revealed

Arnold Schwarzenegger is now taking over President-elect Donald Trump's former reality show which has just gotten its new season, new name, new celebrity cast and new sponsors. "The New Celebrity Apprentice" season 8 is starting early next year and it will feature 16 new celebrities who will compete for their designated charities.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Taking Donald Trump's Boardroom

NBC has picked the "Terminator" actor who was revealed to have been business savvy since he was 10 when he was selling ice cream in Austria. It was also a shock that Schwarzenegger was already wealthy even before he entered Hollywood as he made his first million dollars out of his construction business. The business-minded immigrant and actor-turned-politician is deemed a worthy replacement for "Celebrity Apprentice's" first host, President Trump.

Trump's famous "You're fired" line has been a signature of the reality show. When Schwarzenegger was then asked if he will have his own version, the actor said he has plenty of choices he can pick up from his roles. He said he is considering "Get to the Chopper," "Hasta la vista, Baby" or the opposite of his "I'll be back" line, "You won't be back," for his tagline. He said though that his final choice will remain a secret and will surprise everyone as he welcomes the audience to his hosting stints in the season's premiere.

The Celebrity Cast And Returning Sponsors

For several years, "Celebrity Apprentice" has featured several sponsors from major branded entertainment and advertising deals. These businesses will give each contender several tasks that must be completed. Each contestant will be judged according to their business decisions, actions and stints and the task completion will be woven into episodes.

Twelve sponsor brands will be featured in the eighth season namely: Universal Studios Hollywood, Trident, Tyra Beauty, Welch's, Kawasaki USA, King's Hawaiian, See's Candies, Lorissa's Kitchen, QVC, L.A. Clippers, Carnival Corp. and The Honest Company. On the other hand, sixteen celebrities were invited to compete and represent their chosen charities.

"The New Celebrity Apprentice" season 8 will have 16 celebrity contestants including actress-host Brooke Burke-Charvet, boxing women's champ Laila Ali, singer Boy George, host Matt Iseman, NFL's Eric Dickerson, Carrie Keagan, Lisa Leslie, Carson Kressley, Mötley Crüesinger Vince Neil, comedian Jon Lovitz, singer Carnie Wilson, "RHOBH's" Kyle Richards, Chael Sonnen, Porsha Williams, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Ricky Williams.

These celebrities will outplay each other for a chance to receive $250,000 which they will offer to their charities. As the show enters the new season and takes a new franchise name and host, "The New Celebrity Apprentice" will also shift to a new location from New York to Los Angeles.

Signed to join Schwarzenegger in the boardroom are Leeza Gibbons, Chef Rocco DiSpirito, Tracey Edmonds, Justine Ezarik, Gemma Godfrey and Bob Harper along with Jessica Alba, Warren Buffett, Tyra Banks, Steve Ballmer and Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger.
