AJ Styles Injured, New Champion To Be Crowned? Details Inside

AJ Styles successfully retained his title in TLC pay-per-view defeating the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose. However, the defiant champion might have received the best out of the two.

AJ Styles Victorious But Physically In Pain

After the grueling match with Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles was attended by the Emergency Medical Team. Apparently, the face that runs the place got hurt badly. AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose were literally destroying each other in their much anticipated match. AJ Styles made a couple of moves that made the crowd roa and Dean Ambrose showed why he is called The Lunatic Fringe. AJ Styles hurt his back when Dean Ambrose slammed him through the line of chairs.

AJ Styles, being the champ that he is, tried to shake off the pain which was visibly seen during the match. He was screaming and holding his back numerous times which led the referee to check him out. Styles tried to adjust with his arsenal due to his lingering injury but he can't do it in an instant. Dean Ambrose, being a professional, knew something's wrong with AJ Styles. If you will again watch the match, you will see multiple times Ambrose letting AJ lie down to the mat and letting him take his time.

As per reports, the original plan was scrapped and they have to make some adjustments during the match. We really don't know what the real plan was but most of the fans and a credible source states that Dean Ambrose should have been the winner. If the rumors were correct, how will the ending would be? How will AJ Styles be defeated by Dean Ambrose? Would that be because James Ellsworth interfered the match? Or The Deadman walks again?

Who Will Be The New Champion If AJ Styles Vacates His Title?

Right now, AJ Styles' championship run might be put on halt as discussed by WWE team. With that said, they are now trying to check on who is the next in line to be the WWE Heavyweight Champion. WWE wants to have a champion that has the same caliber like AJ Styles. They want a champion that is versatile and can play the both role as a heel or a face. I have a lot of superstars in mind and I am sure you have one too. Here goes my list.

Bray Wyatt

The leader of the buzzards and the eater of the world. It's been a long time since we saw Bray Wyatt in a title picture. He is one of the greatest talents WWE right now regardless of what brand. Bray is charismatic, good on the mic and can wrestle. His quest for gold was put on hold when he was injured. Currently, they are the tag team champions with Randy Orton but I think WWE Heavyweight Champion is much better for him.

Dean Ambrose

Dean was the very first Smackdown Champion and I like him to be capture it again. Ambrose is not perfect but he can sure get the crowd jumping out of their seats. Dean Ambrose mic skills is somehow similar to the WWE Hall Of Famer, Jake "The Snake" Roberts. His wrestling skills is smash mouth rugged style that hardcore fans wants.

John Cena

This is a long shot as John Cena is busy taping some his shows outside WWE. The 15 time WWE Champion wants to be called 16 time World Champion and join Ric Flair as the only wrestlers who were able to conquer that feat. If Cena really wants to be the 16 champion so bad, this is the perfect time for him to go get it.
