NBA Trade Rumors: Timberwolves Nikola Pekolvic, Jaylen Brown To Lakers? DeMarcus Cousins Stays With Kings After Punching A Man For Matt Barnes?

There are recent NBA trade rumors centering on Nikola Pekolvic and Jaylen Brown of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Apparently, the two are being traded by their team for either the LA Lakers or the Boston Celtics. In this deal, the Lakers will get Pekolvic and Brown, while the Celtics will acquire Gorgui Deng, Shabazz Muhammad and a possible second-round choice from the Timberwolves.

Will This Deal Be Wise For The Lakers?

The deal will be rounded up with the Timberwolves getting Julius Randle, a power forward, and Luol Deng, a small forward. If there are any truths to these NBA trade rumors, the Lakers may settle for a player they don't want. This deal would mean they would get Pekolvic who is mostly out of the season because of foot injuries. He is also owed $23.7 million for the following two years.

DeMarcus Cousins May Be Forced To Sit It Out With The Kings

DeMarcus Cousins has also been a perennial subject of recent NBA trade rumors. Lately, his name is again being floated around for a possible trade with the Boston Celtics. If this happens, Cousins will be reunited with his former teammate John Wall. But chances for this deal going through seem to have stalled because of a recent incident involving Cousins.

Will A Bar Fight Hurt Cousin's Chances?

The current situation is: even if DeMarcus wants out of the Kings according to some NBA trade rumors, he just can't at this moment because of a bar fight that he and his Kings teammate Matt Barnes were involved in. Barnes allegedly assaulted two women and a man in a bar in New York and Cousins supposedly punched the man. He even bragged about it on a video after the incident happened.

Some who follow the NBA trade rumors about Cousins say that this incident could hurt his chances of being traded to other teams. They say that teams who are eyeing him for a possible trade with the Kings will think twice. Considering his subpar performance so far, the likely future for Cousins is to stay with the Kings, unless its management finds a better way to trade him.
