Battlefield 1: They Shall Not Pass Will Soon Include Trench Map

It's great news for all Battlefield 1fans as DICE finally teased the first installment of the game titled, "They Shall Not Pass," and it brings exciting new things into the game. Here's everything we know so far.

Battlefield 1: They Shall Not Pass

To start off, DICE stressed out that the recent teaser video is a work in progress which means that it is bound for changes and/or modification. But don't fret as this only implies that although the images don't necessarily represent the actual gameplay experience, they become the staple and basis for the upcoming contents - which is pretty enthralling in its own sense.

Battle of Verdun

The main highlight of the DLC is the Battle of Verdun which serves as the inspiration for the whole installment. Battle of Verdun is the longest battle in WW1 which lasted for about 9 months in total and about 1 million shells were fired from the German artillery's end.

Now, based on history and on the given artwork, the Battle of Verdun quickly transformed the landscape into a hellish battleground that literally created smoldering ruins - trees burning, buildings smoking and artilleries firing. This implies that we will be seeing a much darker, and fiercer map than we currently have.

Underground Maze

The second picture implies that we will be having an underground maze which entails close-quarter combat against the enemy team. This is extremely exciting as you'd get to fight head-on against your enemies with few resources for covers. If you love to obliterate your enemies using grenades in an enclose-spaced then this map is definitely for you!

Trench Map

We've recently covered the latest Q&A by DICE which revealed the most requested contents and changes in the game - and one of them, as expected, is the trench map. After much anticipation, DICE is now officially working on a full trench map which can be seen on this picture. What's even more interesting is that DICE quoted that there will be more tunnels underneath these trenches which could serve as a gateway for flanks hidden from the "campers'" sight.

They Shall Not Pass is set to be released in the early of March 2017 across all platforms. What are you looking forward to the upcoming installment? Share your thoughts in the comments down below!
