As 2017 starts, the tech world prepares for new smartphones to come in. Mobile phone makers release new phones year after year after year, so there's a good chance that this year will be in no way different. If you're one of the people who are excited for this year's new releases, you'd be glad to know that rumors about the new phones have already surfaced in the web. Here's what's known so far about the upcoming smartphones for this year.
Samsung Smartphones 2017
This year, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 phones. The S8 is expected to be launched around April while the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be unveiled midyear. It was said that the Galaxy S8 will be equipped with a new AI assistant named Bixby and the Note 8 will come with a super-improved S-Pen.
Microsoft Smartphones 2017
The Surface Phone may still be as good as non-existent but the rumors that come out about it don't help put out the fire about its alleged existence. Apparently, even though Microsoft keeps quiet about what its next smartphone will be, leaks and rumors still point out to a certain Surface Phone. Hopefully, 2017 will be the year that Microsoft announces a new flagship smartphone, may it be the Surface Phone or not.
Nokia Smartphones 2017
Now that Nokia's non-competition agreement with Microsoft has come to an end, the company is ready to release new smartphones of its own. Nevertheless, the alleged Nokia phones coming in this year are expected to be midrange by nature and not the flagship devices most fans are hoping for. Needless to say, it's understandable for Nokia to first take baby steps before submerging itself in the waters. Rumor has it that at least four new smartphones are coming out of Nokia's doors this year. It's worth mentioning that Nokia is now under the charge of HMD Global, which is also headed by some of Nokia's pioneers.
LG Smartphones 2017
LG's most anticipated smartphones are the LG V30 and the LG G6. As of now, not a lot of things have been said about these phones but according to the tiny rumors that have surfaced in the web, the LG V30 may no longer have a second screen. The LG G6, on the other hand, may come with an all-glass body, as per IB Times. This new look may actually be the trend for 2017 smartphones as a few other brands are also expected to release all-glass smartphones this year.
Apple Smartphones 2017
Apple is expected to launch three iPhones this year. Since the company is now celebrating its tenth year anniversary in its iPhone division, they are expected to release an anniversary iPhone. Right now, this special phone is dubbed as the iPhone 8 and it could come with all the premium features like all-glass body, wireless charging kit, ditched home button and more. Nevertheless, the company is also expected to release regular iPhones that will follow 2016's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. It was said that these regular releases will have a new red color variant.
