Overwatch competitive grandmasters gave several tips on how their lower ranking counterparts can catch up to them. Here are some of their advices.
Practice Your Headshot Skills
One of the best ways to improve your game is to upgrade your headshot skills. Specifically, you can create a custom offline map and create an Ana only enemy team. Finally, increase the damage multiplier and set to headshots only. You can't die in this customized setting which will allow you more time to practice your headshots.
Adjust Mouse Settings And Motions
Overwatch competitive grandmasters usually lower their mouse's sensitivity in order to improve their tracking capability while improving their accuracy rate. In conjunction with the mouse movement, you also need to practice making your elbow as a pivot point. It might feel awkward but muscle memory will kick in once you do it often.
Flame Only Distracts
Flames are not only pointless but distract you and your team mates from winning the competitive match. If you really can't help at least wait until the match is over.
Moving Randomly Saves Lives
Overwatch competitive grandmasters advises constant random movements. This makes sense since this makes you a harder target. This also tends the enemy to focus only on you, unaware that your team mates are pouncing on them. To move randomly keep pressing A and D key as well as the spacebar.
Kill Yourself When Necessary
In Overwatch competitive matches, there are times when it's necessary commit hara-kiri. One such time is when most of your team mates are dead and your health is hopelessly low. To make matters worse you are also outnumbered. At least when you spawn back, you and the rest of the team can hit the enemy at full strength.
Monitor the Enemy's Ultimate
As a team, players should monitor any Ultimates unleashed by their opponents. This can let you anticipate their next moves and combo if any. You could watch how Overwatch grandmasters execute these tips through this video.
