A Samsung Galaxy S4 benchmark for the Exynos 5 Octa version (GT-19500) has become available.
Benchmarks for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 GT-19505 version have already been released, but this is the first one for the Exynos 5 Octa to surface.
SamMobile ran some benchmark tests on the phone, including AnTuTu and Quadrant. They said they were, "BLOWN away from the results [they] got."
They also said that the Galaxy S4 dominated other new 2013 smartphones, including the Sony Xperia Z and HTC One. Here are the screenshots they provided:
The device got a 27417 on An Tu Tu and 12726 on Quadrant.
Obviously, neither the Snapdragon or Exynos 5 versions of the device are yet available, so Samsung may do some tweaking before the official release of the smartphone in late April.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 at a March 14 event in Times Square. Though companies like HTC, which called the smartphone the "Next Big Flop," have put down the device, it does include a variety of new software features that should stir up the smartphone market.
One of these is Air View and Air Gesture, which allows users to do things like receive or reject calls, select music, browse the internet and photos all without actually touching the screen. Smart Pause and Smart Scroll use eye-recognition technology to sense when a user looks away from the phone. The S4's dual camera allows you to use both the primary and secondary cameras at the same time. And Group Play lets users instantly view and transfer documents, photos and more to other S4 devices.
Stay tuned for additional benchmarking results for the Exynos 5 Octa and Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 versions.
