Dell has finally introduced the world's first 2-in-1 laptop that has wireless charging. The laptop was launched in the biggest tech event of the world, the CES 2017.
Insight Into Dell Latitude 728
The Dell Latitude 7284, a new 2-in-1 laptop announced at CES 2017 uses an amazing method to wirelessly charge the laptop. The company claims that it is the first fully fleshed-out version of the feature of laptop. The main trick is in the device's keyboard. It has a hybrid mechanism that means almost 100 percent of its features are inside the tablet display, which can be attached to the keyboard to create a laptop. One of these keyboards attached to the display communicates with Dell's new wireless charging pad. As soon as the keyboard is attached to the charging pad, it bypasses the power to the keyboard and goes straight to the computer thus charging the laptop.
The fact here is that the keyboard does not contain an extra battery, so it cannot be charged in order to provide an extra juice on the go. The question here arises as to why the keyboard could not be combined to the device, the company has still not cleared these. But still it was able to come up with the most innovative technology for laptops as wireless charging has always been limited to mobile phones earlier.
Latitude 728 Future Aspects
The company has been reported to ship the device in May, but has not yet announced some important specs and the price of the laptop. Dell has also announced that it would soon be using the wireless charging in other products as well later this year. The most important question that would come up in every ones' mind would be, will a charging pad be more convenient than a charging cable especially when talking about laptops?
