Battlefield 1 Guide, Tips: How To Score Big With A Spotting Scout Class

Battlefield 1 Spotting Class Scouts can score a lot of points in the game. You just need the right weapons and gadgets to make this possible.

Active Participation Is The Key

Reddit user FadedFLYS posted his take on how to score big points in the game as a spotting class scout. First, passively hiding in a hill is unlikely to get you the top of the game's scoreboard. Active participation with your team is the best way to acquire the points. It will be easier though if you are on the defending side. The maps ideal for you are Fao Fortress, Sinai Dessert or any map that gives you a wide view.

Weapons And Gadgets Needed

Any weapon will do but it seems the ideal primary is the SMLE MKIII Infantry rifle. Players can also choose any secondary they are most comfortable with. Gadgets will also include flares, trench periscope and of course, smoke grenades.

Flares Are Used For Spotting Enemies

Move with your team mates but make sure you're at the rear and don't reveal yourself until it's necessary. Make sure to shoot your flare on the spot under heavy attack. Fire another flare some distance away from the first in order to reveal any enemies hiding outside the first area. This will alert your team of the enemies' presence. This act alone can bring you plenty of points in the game. You are also in the best position to gather ammo scattered around the field of battle.

The trench periscope can help you spot enemies without exposing yourself to danger. Every enemy you see will be relayed to your team mates. This gadget becomes indispensible once you run out of flares. You can also use this item to sneak on the enemies' next spawn point. Killing them before they could make any moves against your team can help you score a lot. Finally, you can also take part in the action by taking single headshots which can reward you with a Marksman bonus.
