Grand Theft Auto fans can get a little more excited, thanks to the release of new screenshots for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5. The screenshots supplement the game's second trailer, which was released in November.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was originally scheduled to be released in Spring 2013 but that has now been changed to Sept. 17, 2013.
Changes we will see in Grand Theft Auto 5 include improved graphics along with gameplay. Gamers can now play in "crews," like in Max Payne 3. Another addition includes a social club feature in which players form their own crews with friends or within public circles. You'll be able to join up to five crews at once. Tasks completed as a crew will boost the gamer's XP points. Also featured is connect play across games like Max Payne 3.
The story takes place in Los Santos and centers around three characters: Michael, a family man living in the Vinewood Hills; Franklin, an auto repo man and Trevor, who looks to be a complete psychopath. In an effort to make quick cash, they find themselves sucked into the city's criminal underworld. When not completing missions, players can choose among the three characters and explore the game's world.
Grand Theft Auto 4 was set in Liberty City and followed Niko Bellic, an Eastern European war veteran searching for the American dream, who later becomes involved in the city's criminal activity.
Given the fact that Grand Theft Auto 5 will likely sell out fast, it is recommended that fans pre-order the game to secure a copy. You can check out the screens and trailer here.
