New Imaging Technology Made To Detect Diseases

It is critical to detect diseases at the earliest time possible. Successful treatment is hinged on an early detection of the disease. Now an new imaging technology has been made to detect diseases.

The new imaging technology has much promise in detecting diseases. The new technology is called Hyper-Spectral Phasor or HySP. With this new technology, it improves on a technology already being used by medical researchers.

The current technology has many details to be considered. It has to layer the images taken. This is an intensive process that takes much time. With the new technology, it streamlines this process and makes it easier.

The new technology is important since finding out about a disease in its early stages is critical. A successful treatment is based on early detection. While older technology would have many processes which would take much time, with HySP much of what would be done could be in just one take.

Francesco Cutrale is a postdoctoral fellow at USC's Translational Imaging Center. He said that the new technology can look at multiple images at once. That would save much time and process than what is being done with current technology.

HySP is also much better since it can filter out interference, according to Digital Trends. Noise and weak signals can be distinguished by it. This would be critical in studying a disease more closely, as it can look into details more clearly.

So far HySP has been used on zebra fish, as Yahoo News reports. Ultimately though the technology would be used to detect diseases in humans. This technology could also be used on people who have been exposed to chemicals as well as those who have been into combat. One of the uses researchers hope it could do is to look into the damage that lung diseases cause.

Early disease detection is very important. It can potentially save a life if done soon. A new imaging technology has been made to detect diseases. Scientists are also looking for a possible ebola cure.
