During the announcement of Pokemon Sun and Moon, The Pokemon Company has also revealed several unique types of Pokemon that will arrive in the newest game version. These special type of Pokemon are called as Alola Form. As seen in the introduction, most of these Alolan form features the existing Pokemom in the franchise. In other words, it is a modification of the current Pokemon.
According to the report from International Business Times, in order to activate the Alolan evolution there are several requirements needed. There are only 14 known Alolan Pokemon in the game. Eleven are evolved forms of either pre-evolved Alolan Pokemon or from a previous first generation of Pokemon. For those who have not yet evolved any of these Alolan Pokemon, here are some simple steps on how to acquire one.
For Alolan Exeggutor, players will be needing a Leaf Stone since there are no Alolan Exeggcute present in the game. Next is Alolan Dugtrio, unlike Alolan Exeggutor, its pre-evolved form has an Alolan version. Have your Alolan Diglett reach level 26 in order for it to evolve.
Since Pokemon Sun and Moon features Alolan Geodude, it is expected that its evolution tree has an Alolan form. Level your Alolan Geodude until 25 in order to get an Alolan Graveler while Alolan Golem can be obtainable through trading your Alolan Graveller to your friend.
Alolan Marowak has a similar case to Alolan Exeggutor having no pre-evolved Alolan form. However, players will just need to level their regular Cubone up to 28 during the night. For Alolan Muk, players will be required to level their Alolan Grimer to 28 in order to evolve.
On the other hand, Alolan Ninetales requires a special type of stone. It was reported that once a player obtained an Ice Stone, he/she can apply it on the Alolan Vulpix in order to evolve. Next Pokemon is Alolan Persian. In order to acquire the said Pokemon, players are required to increase the happiness level of their Alolan Meowth for it to evolve.
Similar to Alolan Persian, acquiring Alolan Raichu also requires a high amount of happiness level. Raise the happiness level of your regular Pikachu and use Thunder Stone for evolution. Meanwhile, Alolan Raticate might be the easiest Pokemon to evolve as it only requires a level 20 Alolan Rattata.
Lastly, Alolan Sandslash is also a type of Pokemon that requires Ice Stone to evolve. However, players first find an Alolan Sandshrew located in the snowy mountains of Alola Region. Then use an Ice Stone to acquire an Alolan Sandslash.
