T-Mobile is on a mission to offer its customers the most popular smartphones on the market or that are coming to market. It finally is offering its customers iPhones, and it's also going to begin selling both the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 in a matter of weeks. It only makes sense the carrier would want a flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone in its lineup, too.
According to an Italian blogger, T-Mobile is set to get the Nokia Lumia 928. The blogger revealed the specs of the device, as well as an announcement date and an expected late June release. The Nokia Lumia 928 is expected to be a variant of the Nokia Lumia, which is currently an AT&T exclusive in the U.S.
The reported specs of the smartphone are a 4.5-inch octaOLED 1280×768 display, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, an 8.7 megapixel f/2.0 camera, and a 2000mAh battery all weighing in at 132grams. Major differences from the Lumia 920 include a slimmer form factor, from 10.7mm to 8.4mm in thickness.
The blogger also revealed that the Nokia Lumia 928 will be unveiled by T-Mobile on May 15 and the smartphone is expected to be released in late June. T-Mobile and Verizon are expected to be the official launch partners for the Nokia Lumia 928, and it will be the first time both carriers will offer its customers a high-end, flagship Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphone. We should know more details, as we get closer to May. This news will surely make any T-Mobile Windows Phone 8 fan very happy if this pans out to be true.
