Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Picture And Specifications Leaked

Samsung has already had a busy year, with the launch of the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3. Now the company is preparing to launch its tablet lineup with the Galaxy Tab 3 models. A recent report hints at the expected specifications of the tablet, along with a picture.

Greek website Techblog has allegedly leaked the specifications of the rumored Galaxy Tab 3 series, which may help Samsung give direct competition to Apple's full-sized 9.7-inch iPad and the 7-inch iPad mini.

The Galaxy Tab 2 series included a 10.1-inch tablet and a 7-inch tablet. The Tab 3 series of tablets will include a 10.1-inch tablet, but will the 7-inch tablet give way to a slightly bigger 8-inch tablet? The key difference between the two tablets will be the display size and battery capacity.

The leaked image on Techblog indicates that the tablets will have round edges just like the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Galaxy Note 8.0.

Techblog also revealed the hardware specifications of the handset. The Galaxy Tab 3 tablets will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 16GB of on-board storage with the option to expand further (probably 64 GB) using a microSD card. Both models will run on the 4.1 version of Jelly Bean, which is a step up from the previous model.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will have 2GB, while the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will have 1GB of RAM. The bigger tablet will have a 7,000 mAh battery, whereas the smaller tablet will have a 4,500 mAh battery.

If rumors are to be believed, then the Galaxy Tab 3 tablets are not far away from a release. The Greek website indicates that the 3G models of the tablets will be available as early as May, while the 4G LTE version will be available from June or July this year.
