‘Arrow' Season 5 Episode 13 Spoilers: Spectre Of The Guns, Wild Dog's Origin Revealed

"Arrow" Season 5 is about to be finished and finally, Wild Dog will have his spotlight. For those who have followed the series especially season 7, all the members of Team Arrow have been properly introduced except him.

'Arrow' Season 5: Wild Dog’s First Taste Of The Spotlight

During episode 8 of "Arrow," fans were able to see a glimpse of why Rene Ramirez a.k.a Wild Dog is acting like a douche bag(as most fans described). The episode started with Felicity introducing Cisco to the Team. In normal Wild Dog fashion, he doesn’t act surprised or happy to see Cisco. Cisco tried to lighten up the mood but it didn't do any good. The crossover between multiple CW series("Supergirl," "The Flash," and "Legends of Tomorrow") brought new life to "Arrow," although they are very consistent with their ratings.

Going back to the Invasion episode, it shows that Oliver, Diggle, Sara, Ray, and Thea were abducted by the evil aliens called the Dominators. These led them to work together to free themselves against the aliens. Meanwhile, Wild Dog and the rest of the heroes tried to stop one of the villains. Wild Dog tried to do it his way(which he usually does) but failed. Fortunately, The Flash came to the rescue punishing their enemy and Supergirl followed it up with one powerful punch.

On the same episode, Wild Dog showed his disgrace to metahumans. The Flash and Supergirl tried their very best to befriend Wild Dog but he refused to have some kind of relationship with them. When asked what is his damage, Wild Dog said: “My damage is that people like you two has the power of Gods and you think you can make the world a better place by putting fancy costumes”. Supergirl answered back sarcastically stating that “We think we make the world a better place”.

'Arrow' Season 5 Episode 13: Spectre of The Gun

The episode title alone is very mysterious. We all know that Wild Dog is well versed with using guns but we don’t know yet what “Spectre of the Gun” means in this episode. Wild Dog is very hard to deal with. He doesn’t like talking too much and more importantly, he doesn’t want anybody telling him what to do with his life. Apparently, Episode 13 will trigger some painful memories to Wild dog. During his collegiate career, he was an outstanding athlete until he encountered an injury. This started his misery as he lost his scholarship.

He then went to serve the U.S Marine Corps. By the way, his real name is Jack Wheeler, not Rene Ramirez. Everything seems to work in his favor until he went home. His long time girlfriend was killed by a Chicago Mob Boss. That started the change in him. Day and night he hit the streets trying to look for the Mob Boss who killed her girlfriend to get some revenge. A SWAT captain who was responsible for taking down Jack Wheeler ordered his troops to shoot him like a wild dog. Thus, giving him the moniker, Wild Dog.
