The concept of mixing the past world with modern mechanics seems amazing on paper and it certainly transfers the feeling of wonder during gameplay. Aside from hunting robot-like dinosaurs, fans can also find a way to make them help the protagonist on her journey.

In line with this, Aloy gains an ability early in the story that can 'override' some enemies which turn them into temporary allies. Once in control, they can fight for her and even act as a ride for Aloy to get around the map. Aside from combat, this feature seems like one of the main modes of commuting in the open world.
Next, Aloy can hack other enemies like Tallnecks which give her information about the surrounding area. Moreover, doing this also reveal details about nearby ruins and hunting grounds too.
