Nintendo is doing all their efforts to boost the sales of their new gaming console called the Nintendo Switch. The company has been hostile about pushing third-party support for the Nintendo Switch. Currently, they have secured deals with over 70 developers to create games for their new console and bring the popular third-party franchises to the machine.
According to the report from Game Rant, one of the main third-party games that is set to arrive to Nintendo's new console is the top-selling soccer franchise FIFA. As a result, fans now know that FIFA on Switch will be developed from the ground-up for Nintendo Switch.
During the FIFA event in Paris, EA Sports CCO Peter Moore exposed that FIFA 18's Nintendo Switch version will be custom-built for the hybrid console, GameReactor reported. Meanwhile, some are worried that this version of FIFA 18 would not be as fully-featured as the ones in PS4 and Xbox One.
Based on Moore's statement, it looks like FIFA 18 on the Switch will not be the last gen port of the game. This is actually good news, however, there is no detailed information regarding the upcoming game aside from short snippets in advertisements. As a result, fans could still expect poor graphics or a less elegant set of online features compared to the other versions of the game.
Apparently, Nintendo's online multiplayer support has been weak previously. But it looks like the company is trying their best to turn things around with the Nintendo Switch. As previously reported, Nintendo Switch's online services require subscription similar to Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus. This means that Nintendo is investing more in offering a quality online experience for the owners of Nintendo Switch.
Meanwhile, fans should be able to depend on FIFA 18 to feature all offline game modes, even if the game on Switch would not sport some of the franchise's famous online modes. FIFA 18 will arrive later this year for Nintendo Switch and other unnamed platforms.
